Car Valet - seats out!?
#1
Just got a quote for proper car valet. £80 and they have it for 2 days and actaully take all the seats OUT!
Is this standard practise?
SOunds good the interior will get a total cleanse but a bit wary as seats may be a bit wobbly when they put them back in.
Anyone had any experience of this?
Many thanks
Jas

Jas,
I had my seats taken out last week, so they could be recovered, but I didn't expect it to be so easy!!!
Each front seat is held on by 4 bolts (14mm, I think)
The base rear seat (bottom bit) is held on by two 12mm bolts, but you need to push it back and up to get it off, as the final fixture is a hook.
The back of the rear seats has 3 12mm bolts, which are covered by the base. Once the three bolts are undone, lift it up to unhook it.
I'd check they've done Subaru's before, as you wouldn't want them to find out the above the hard way!!!
That said, I wouldn't have the seats taken out unless I have to!
Hope this helps
Andy
PS - The guys putting them back in knew what he was doing, as the seats are less wobbly now!!
