I've just seen the following advert in Banzai Magazine.

So you can take your Mitsubishi Grey Import to a UK Dealer for service, parts, Import Warranty etc..

Come on Subaru UK, get your finger out and stop being pig headed.

Yeah they were running this ad in my local press the week before last but I thought it just coincided with my local Co-ordsport/Ralliart dealer having a refurbishment ........ obviously not...

Well I get my grey import Subaru serviced by Mitsubishi. If Subaru UK think that's a sensible way to run a business then good luck to them.

The question is how main more Subaru dealership will have to go under or stop trading in Subarus. There is a huge market for repairs, parts, servicing. The place I take mine the guy they said it was brilliant of Subaru to do this as he is getting loads of trade.
Selling the news cars make the dealers a few hundred quid at best, its the servicing and after sales, mods etc. where they make the really money.

Good on Misti UK for having the guts to do it.

cheers

Is guts really the deciding factor ?

I think waking up and smelling the coffee might have been a better expression.

There is more to running a Dealership than just selling cars isn't there, the money to be made from Servicing, parts etc.. is huge.

My car is going to a Mitsubishi Dealership to have the Steering checked out, the garage used to be a Subaru Dealership then changed hands. The Lads there are all Subaru trained and very helpful, no sign of Import unfriendliness whatsoever.
