just cleaned the car for the first time in a few weeks and...
series of minor dents, scratches and red paint marks down the near side. difficult to know what caused it as they are quite low down and stop and start. hard to notice at first but once you have seen them they are obvious. a bit of a downer, and considering that three panels are affected (front door, back door, rear weel arch) i should imagine quite costly to fix. only had the car for about six weeks...
is this sort of thing inevitable if you drive the car daily, park it on the street, go to supermarket etc in it? when I worked in Islington (london) i had a mondeo and it got so regularly battered up while parked in the office car park i just gave up after a bit. a similar thing happened to the MINI Cooper i got for the other half, after it was 3 months old. BMW charged £400 for the repair (one small shopping trolley type dent), although they did a nice job.
If I claimed each one on insurance I'd be driving a C5 by now.
oh well.
Charlie.
