Thumbs up

Hi,

Anyone go to the RS owners club meet at Castle Coombe yesterday ? Fantastic day with loads of beautiful Cossies, RS2000, Mexicos and so on. Had to knock one out, about five times.

One chap even had his RS1800 on the track Fair play!!

Went out with the crazy rally driver in the green rear wheel escort. Only cost a tenner.

I got to say the Scooby turn out was very poor, and so was the driving.

Why aren't the Scooby days a patch on the RSOC dos ?

Cheers Phill C

No I didn't get on the track myself

Had a brilliant day though, with copious amounts of blackthorn (mate drove).

Did you see that Cossie powered Transit, what a beauty. He didn't want to sell it though Shame.

I'm so desperate to get my RS2000 back on the road again.

Did you see the P1 spin off, I was soooo gutted, took my Subaru jacket off and put it in the car. The Scoobies didn't appear that fast!!

The Jetta with the straight cut gearbox was also funny.

Me and my mate sideways almost bought a Cossie rally car

I went out in the (circuits car) Westfield with the 4.2 V8, the missus went out in the Escort and my little 'un went out in the Ultima.....Well worth a tenner each, especiallly the Escort for the mental sideways action....everywhere!

It was a good day with some great track cars!

Can't wait for national day and Ford fair.

Yep, sounds like a top day...shame I couldn't attend cos of a wedding - there were loads of spare track passes going...you should get in on it if they're so well organised

The set-up for the track was done well too - no more than 12 cars on the track at any one time, apparently.

And best cars of the day? By all accounts the Evos were proper lively, putting in 1m21's I think, followed closely by a 500+ bhp grey 3 door Cos

The Evos were so fast, but my best car of the day had to be the Jetta that sounded like a jet engine.

He done an excellent job keeping up with the Cossies and P1, etc. The noise it made going down the straight was fantastic. I nearly drove home to get a tape recorder

I liked all the Cossies going out onto the track, all of them with dump valves. Chuffing lovely sound . Shame the MAD Developments Cossie wasn't on the track. He's got a proper noisy dump valve, and absolutely chuffs along apparently.

Your joking about spare tickets for the track, we didn't even think to ask. Just got some track wheels as well. Bugger !!!

Yes, on the track they weren't all bunched up, about twelve at a time.

Next time, bugger

Cheers Phill C.
