After toying with a euro-import, I'm going to trawl a couple of local Scooby dealers tomorrow, and was wondering...
What sort of deal has anyone had out of a franchised Scooby dealer on a brand spanking, or ex demo, WRX recently??? Outright purchase price, low finance deals, freebies, toys, etc.???
The sales guy has initially bitten when I said I wanted to get it OTR for less than 20K - and surprisingly he has a WR Blue in the showroom that is 'just the thing sir'.
As the insurance is less than my current N plate FTO GPX (nearly fell off my chair) even without a Tracker (group 75 for FTO, 73 for WRX) - and, heck, is only another 110 quid for an STi - we could be in business this weekend......
FYI - I paid 602 renewal for my FTO in June - so 110 on top for the STi isn't bad at all.... And no difference if it is a Euro import or pukka UK sourced.
Any recent dealing experiences that anyone is prepared to divulge would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

I am sure he can probably do you a WRX OTR for under 20K but I would doubt he would you an STI for under 20K OTR (because you mentioned STI insurance) or have I misunderstood what you are saying ??

I'm interested mainly in a WRX.... but... never say never to an STi, if the deal is right!
I had originally discounted it due to the probable insurance hit - but at 35 it seems not to make that much difference, so it remains a possibility.
We'll see....

I had some good experiences with Beechdales at Nottingham (speak to Beechboy) and Donaldsons Peterborough (Jed's the man). Both could approx. 6 weeks ago get OTR for around the price you are after.
My STI arrives in September!!
