Insurance,what a wind up! ! ! !

I know this subject has a lot of press but just had to get it off my chest.
Insurance renewal through the post so time to make a few inquiries.
Adrian Flux- no track day cover for an import.
Tett Hamilton- no track day cover as their import policies are underwritten by Norwich Union.
Greenlight- only have a small fund to cover import cars and that has now gone! This is the company that advertises in True Grip and cannot offer me any cover.
It seems that I am left with the Privilege.A quote of £805 rising to £844 to cover the`downpipe` mod, although in fairness this price hike does cover me for all mod's that give up to 10% power increase.I still have track day cover but as Privilege are now underwritten by Direct Line if I leave them I lose it,even if I come back after a year it will not be offered to any new business.
Trouble is can I be bothered to look anywhere else,it just seems to be a waste of a phone call and an unnecessary rise in blood pressure!
Sorry for the rant just needed to get it off my chest.
Cheers Paul.

Cheer up mate - I was paying £550 on my Scooby when I was 25 (inc. Scoobysport + filter), full comp.
Sold it and bought an Astra 1.6 8v, and it went up to £700.
Go fuggin' figure....
Bloody insurance companies
