Question

Thinking of doing both our MY01's (no sarky comments please - it's in the eye of the beholder etc ).

Anybody got a piccy of a red mica or blue/black mica MY01 with tints - preferably rear screen and all four doors, front side windows in a lighter tint than the rest.

Failing that rear screen and rear doors only....

Failing that again on a MY00 or older etc.

You've obviously got the money burning a hole in your pocket.

Jack Clark posted pictures of his MY01 wagon in the gallery section last week - follow this link (if I can get it to work)

Bugeyed - lets just get one thing straight - it was not my idea (well I don't think it was) and personally I'm not too sure about them and I'd rather spend the dosh on a wooden floor for the downstairs of our house

Huge - I'll have anyone in the back of my car - I am an Essex girl after all

Question

Dave

I am considering this for my MY01 when I get it next month. Do you know if there are any legal issues re. darkness of tints etc? I know there is one for crash helmets.

Cheers

Alex's people did mine as well- superb job, good service (drop different tints off for me to decide then came back and took the car to do the job) and very good value.

tiggs

ps- i think the law is dark as u like except the fronts that have to let 70% (?) light in.

i went from limo black in the back to sti import black in the middle and dark as law allows on the front- blends well and looks good.

I know the feds do get snotty about too dark a tint - it's probably in the Construction & Use regs or something - as Tiggs says the windscreen and front side windows you have to be careful with but the rear sides aren't such a problem and I think the rear screen you can go as dark as you like. Pentagon will know.

It's a long story, involving two laps round Bedford Autodrome in the passenger seat of the Wallet Magnet's '01, and somehow a week later we had px'd both our cars for MY01's, and Pete had sucked the life force out of my wallet......

The people I know do saloons for approx £200 and wagons for approx £220.. They use the same product as pentagon too.

Email me for more info.
