European law on warranties
#1
Can anybody give me a link to somewhere that defines the European law on warranties for new vehicles? I want to know what must be provided, and the level of service that must be supplied.
I would prefer a link to the actual wording of the law, rather than somebodys interpretation of it.

Not want you want as I don't have the official wording - but essentially any Subaru garage cannot refuse to service etc an EU import...BUT from many garages you will only get minimum service (no leniency/courtesy car/) and will usually get the official line enforced harder on any mods etc.
As I understand, the biggest issue is the warranty claims which have to go back to supplying country, and most garages won't carry out work until either you pay for it, or they get paid from Subaru Holland/Belgium etc PLUS the warranties from Holland/Belgium appear to be not as comprehensive as the SUK/IM version
