As the title says the PPP got fitted to my UK300 today. When I first picked it up and drove to work I have to say I didnt think it as good as I remembered. Went to the meet tonight and it felt a bit better. Drove home from the meet down my favorite roads and

Its the first time in 7 months (day I sold the P1), that Ive had such a big smile on my face from the driving experience. The noise is as it should be, and the car just felt together. The handling is the best in any Scooby Ive driven, the brakes were great, the power was superb. Whilst it is not as explosive as the P1 and I'd still like more, what a car

Another intersting thing is that I borrowed Adams demo car whilst the PPP was being fitted. It only had 400 miles on the clock. What I did notice was that where my car in std form was very hesitant around 2000 rpm, and struugled to gain revs, this just picked up. I convinced myself it had the back box upgrad, and that for engine response alone it was worth the money. Got out at the other end and it was bog std. Phoned the dealer and told them mine was a lemon. As the guy was there from IM fitting my PPP they asked him why the difference. Turns out they have a new ECU to sort this out. Also noticed that the alarm sensors have been moved to the middle of the A pillar from the top.

no? hmmmm, we'll see
in the meantime, enjoy, and remember, no small change, a crisp fiver if you please

Glad to hear the PPP is doing the trick. I'm still no where near to the limits of mine as standard so can bear the wait.

Might have to give Adams a visit tomorrow, mines a bit on the hesitant side.

Spudgun, why are you soooo anti 01, did one pick on you at school or something.

Jack

Mine even after the new ECU still doesn't pick up as cleanly as Suzanne's at 2000rpm. I dont think there will be any chance of IM offering a new ECU. Most cars as they go through production tend to get revised ECU's to make them better to drive. Saying all that it would be very interesting to see if it did make a difference in an earlier car. I'm not 100% that its just the ECU.

Mark

Since new its been run on Super. I also dyno'd the car on Saturday prior to the PPP. Will do it again in the next week to see the difference between a STD MY01 on super and a MY01 PPP on Super.

Dont know if the ECU is learning my driving style , but it feeling better all the time. The exhaust note is also A1.
