obviously this is a quick car, but in what other ways is it superior to a scooby. thats not an antagonistic question, i'm genuinely interested
i was always put off by the looks of the evo6, but find the appearance of the evo7 very nice IMHO.
for example, silly things like, how do the headlights compare, whats the quality of the paintwork like, is the stereo any good.
what is the engine noise like, etc etc.
all the little things that make yer wanna spend big bucks on a car like this.
if i remember rightly, u changed from a p1 ( and probably lost money on it ), so in what respects was it worth the outlay. they are similar cars, so there must be good reasons for the change.
how do the dealers rate? what are the servicing costs? is the lancer bbs REALLY dull
sorry to quizz you so much, but long term its a car i would definately consider, but would think i'd miss the scooby burble?
cheers for any advice you can offer!
see, told ya i would't shun ya

Spudgun,
As i have only had a couple of demo drives i can only comment on a little for now.
Firstly build quality is not in the same league, you close the door on the P1 and you open it again to pick up the screws, lights not sure as i have not drove in the dark but i have been told that they can be changed if required, stereo is not fitted as standard, paint looks good certainly thicker than subaru`s rizzla paper paint(sounds as though the my01 is no better. On the road the evo is much much much more planted the response from the steering is again not even the same sport never mind league.Noise is not the same quality as the P1 but still sounds nice. The P1 has and will continue to lose a lot more money than any other Impreza because there are so many on the road consisting of so many different models in a way the P1 is going to be a victim of subaru`s own success.
After my first one blew up i think the seeds of dought were planted.
I will let you no more as soon as i am allowed.
Regards
J

Sorry to hear your misfortune Jason. But look on the bright side, you wont be tempted to boot it during the running in period!
Sorry to rub salt into your wounds, but I pick up my evo 7 this Tuesday. Lifes a b***h, sometimes!
