Cool

Hi Guys, Can anyone help me with my Scoobys brakes, she recently had a 45,000 mile service even though she has only covered 34,000 miles, and every time I touch the brake pedal my brakes sqeak, Any advice greatly received.
Cheers
Colin.

Mine is doing the same "squeaking" when lightly pressed. It is going in for a 15k service later this week, the garage tells me that it is due to the materials in the brake pads and should not squeak after the service, when they have been cleaned up!!!! Will wait and see

I have had this on both imprezas I have owned and it has been sorted at service by the dealer simply cleaning the brakes free of charge. Has worked on both occasions I have had the problem.

Might be time to change 'em.

Mine are doing it now after 17,000 miles...

I had the Brembo/AP upgrade a few months ago, with Pagid fast road pads. As with most upgrades like this, the pads squeak when they're cold.

How many times has the wife said: "£1,700 for squeaky brakes - lovely."

I just grin and bear it...

Mine are doing it on my MY99. I haven't done 10,000 miles yet!

Squeeling away merrily here too!!

I do not drive like a nutter either, so at 15000miles I would NOT expect the pads to need replacement

I am sure that it is just a 'FEATURE' of the car like all the other faults!

Once the pads have worn out slightly they will get hotter much quicker so maybe a possibility of the pads bieng slightly glazed over ???????????????????????
