just wondered if the recent biblical floods have caused any damp problems fer scoobs.
bein an ex-rover owner, i'm not used to my car startin in this weather...
RAC blokes always used to reckon they'd never attended a scoob, ever.

A couple of years back when I was considering purchasing my first scoob, I had the AA out to my Rover 214 Cabrio (I am NOT a hairdresser), I asked him about Subarus, the only one he had been near was his mates! Never attended a broken down scoob, cool.

Mine developed a squeeking sound from the belts at the front (where the fans, air con are etc) after a torrential downpour the other day. Not exactly sure which one and the sound has lessened since the car has had time to dry off but hasn't gone completely so there is a slight squeek on idle which is getting annoying so I might have to have a look at it soon but other then that no probs.

I get the same problem as UXG, a slight squeek from the belts when it gets very very wet but mine goes as soon as its dry or ive driven for 10 mins or so.
I first noticed the noise when i sprayed some Autoglym polish under the bonet so maybe when it gets wet the polish gets squeeky ???
The cam belt has just been changed so no probe with cam belt contamination ?(just in case anyone says )
