An organised convoy of many scoobs at a funeral would sure be something special.
I somehow can't picture any "things" being a great comfort.
But, perhaps a memorial trophy for an annual Dyno Shoot-out or Show'n'Shine whould be good.

Don't quite know the lines you are thinking along but what about various group meets (all happening at exactly the same time)over the country, where everyone contributes a fiver or whatever to the chosen charity of the family.
And as Rich mentioned we could all have a minutes silence followed by the starting of the engines..
Local meets would help those of us up in Scotland/Wales/Ireland etc. who would like to help but in reality probably couldn't make the trip South.
Just an idea.... but agreed we should do something.
Regards

Memorial dyno shootout, get agreement from rolling road company(s)to get it for cost price, or as near as possible. All monies over base cost go to charity of parents choice.
I am thinking that Well Lane would be the obvious choice, as Nick frequented it in the past.
Get a decent perpetual, memorial trophy, winner gets name on trophy, and keeps it for the year.

Pavlo, Excellent idea!
The Nick Wild Dyno day trophy.
Winner with the highest percentage increase over standard BHP
Held anually on the anniversary of his passing.
With all monies to a charity of the families choice.
Those who can't make it can make a donation anyway.
Though I shall still be saluting Nick on the day.

A fitting tribute would be if more of us were to carry donor cards, i have since i was 16. I find it a real tragedy that people could be saved from serious illness or death by people simply carrying a credit card sized piece of paper, yet so many people just dont bother because they never consider it. (of course some wont for their own reasons, which is fine of course)
I think people on scoobynet have been made more aware of this, which is a positive thing.

We could do a big meeting ? all we need is a pub with a big carpark (and the blessing of the land lord), someont to post a date, time and directions. £5 per car to go to the chosen charity and donor cards aplenty........
Didn't go to the big one, but wouldn't somewhere like that be OK? have a show & shine with the winner getting anual trophie.
It wouldn't take that long to organise....would it?

I too have had a donor card since I was 16, I also regularly donate blood.
More people should be doing this, come on - JFDI
All of the suggestions sound great, expect my support and assistance if needed
Michelle.

This may sound a bit daft and I'm not to sure if it is do'able....
Blood donor lorries.... Does anyone know if it would be possible to get one of these to a big meet ? How long does it take to give blood ?

I think all of these comments on this thread will be of more comfort to Nick's family than anything else. What has happened to Nick has been a tragedy and all of you are taking positive steps to not only help the family and to complete Nicks's wishes as much as possible, but you are all also thinking of how to help someone after your own death.
Nick's generosity by being a donor is something we should all consider. I have held a donor card since I was a child and told my parents that whatever happens to me, I want to be able to help someone after my death.
An annual event by Scooby Netters to mark this tragedy could also help to save other peoples lives but raising awareness for donor cards.
