other owners clubs had tents, flags, bunting, BBQ's, show models.
What do SIDC owners get....a banner slung in the hedge and propped up with twigs !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have only just joined SIDC and was hoping for a better welcome,
I now wonder what my money has been spent on !
Is this just a one off or is it normally like this?

Fuzz,
I went to the SIDC National Day at Donnington early July and have to say it was the best Scoob/car related day i've attended with all kinds going on + the all important track time.
The organization must've taken a lot of time & i for one am grateful for the effort made and am looking forward to next years already, remember the committee do it for nowt in their spare time.

I too was happy with the effort at Donington but that doesn't excuse the poor show today at Castle Combe. We probably had the best turn-out today but the worst club display. At least John made the effort to get the banner up (well done John).
Why dont we have the type of stand's that the other club's own.Why are we not selling club merchandise like the other club's.
We couldn't even manage to have any Subaru trade stand's.
Has the SIDC got an idea of it's direction in the next couple of year's because I for one cannot see it.
Cheers Paul.

I have to agree with Paul, Donnington was an excellent event. Today was a good effort by SIDC / Subaru owners, just completely let down buy the club and traders. This is probably the second biggest event on the calender behind Trax, more than likely a better event than Trax, and very few boy racers which a lot of people from SIDC moan about at Trax. So why wasn't more done by SIDC to promote the club ? Surely it would have been an ideal time to attract new members and also for traders to get new customers, how often do you get the chance to have approx 100 Impreza's in the same place at the same time ? Well done to the Mitsubushi club for a top day out.
This is not a direct dig at Pete Croney, or anyone else who organizes SIDC events as I realise you can not be every where all the time, but I'm sure you could of found some other willing SIDC members to help organise the event in your absence.
I hope a better effort is made for the Trax event this year.
Colin.

Typical of us British, we are not happy unless we are moaning
agree with all of the above tho.
there were a couple of "twa*s in the public car park I noticed screaming up and down with the music on full chat but all in all very sensible crowd....muchos pleased.
leaving crosshands pub this morning was a bit hectic but hey ho, my fault for being late

I agree with everone Non-payed members do a lot of for the club and Donno was great and because of that next year will be bigger
As a suggestion could'nt SIDC purchase/Acquire last years/old Subaru Rally tents. They must replace them every couple of years
