I hate all this long grass on the country roads. The poor visability causes me to keep speed below a ton in most places I am sure that they have been better maintained in past years.

And it makes my nose run

farmers! you'd think with milk quotas, BSE and vets killing all their stock they'd have plenty of time to sort out their grass so you could keep it in three figures!

lazy scum, the lot of them

If the grass is "on" the roads, then you are actually on a farm track - or maybe in a field (or someones garden!).

...or, if the grass is on the tarmac, then it is probably freshly cut grass, which explains why your nose is running.

Most of us farmers (particularly in North Yorks Dales/Moors) are a bit busy at the moment with F & M to worry about grass! Anyway, it is the council's highways dept that pays for, organises and tells us when to do verge cutting - it's not up to us.

The very fact I've only had time to view the bbs and post about twice in the last three months tells it's own story.

OK - moan over!

Thumbs up

thankyou Moss!
i guess most people reckon F&M was long gone by the time thon election thing came round
if mr blair did trackdays every time he came to a corner he'd likley go off and 'spin'

and besides imprezas were built for country roads, thier much happier in that sort of environment
