Absolutly no kidding.. Trackday on Saturday at Bedford Autodrome 50litres Super Plus (£50.00) and just 70 miles equals 6.36mpg...

I could have cried, I ran out of cash at another 20litres and didn't have my cheque book.

Anybody better this,

My old 2.0ltr Pinto rally car with 2 x twin 45 webbers did better than this..

6mpg, thats fun territory with the LOUD pedal.

But look on the bright side. It probably doesnt go through diffs and gearboxes like a RWD escort.

Just trying to cheer you up!

Hah - I know someone who had a 351ci Mustang, and used 22 gallons in less than 100 miles going up the M1 at 140mph. And you feel such a dick when the engine dies...

Don't feel too bad, I once got 5mpg at Castle Combe in my turbo mini! Maybe that's why I'm pleased with the Scoob at 25mpg last time I checked it!

Thumbs up

70 Miles on 50 Litres. Good effort. I thought 115 miles on a whole tank in MY00 Turbo on a country run was good going.

Maybe Shell UK would like to sponsor a competition...

Who can travel the least distance on a tank of fuel.

I really think we ought to get some kind of tax rebate for driving these cars. We are single handedly keeping the economy going. What do ya say, Gordon?
