If you want speed and acceleration to go with the BHP then go for the best power to weight ratio.

Classic shape.

Personally it's the classic shape because i just can't get on with the new shape's styling (even tho dynamically it's probably a better car).

I know i'd rather have a gorgeous looking bird that's a bit dum rather than the ugly bird that's good at everything. Sorry to all the femenists out there .

Tony.

Wink

Just to be the ............ in the wood pile , the odd one out the STi7 and I'd though I'd never say that after my old MY99

Time to move on O/K lower Power to weight has a lot to be desired but in lot's of respects it's a better all round car. if a STi7RA was more readily available I reckon a few more of you disbelievers would change you minds IMHO

A new shape anyday (yes im biased)
Just yesterday i went on very spirited drive with a 96, 98, 01, and my 01. Now i didnt have a patch on these guys so i was allways at the end, but there was nothing between the other three, well maybe slightly more oomph for the older 2 but the new shape was right there with them (all standard), and looked a **** load meaner doing it
Cheers

I've just swapped my classic in for a new age.

I couldn't stand the new shape when it first came out, but, bit by bit it grows on you.

Still don't like the headlights which is why I coughed up for the Prodrive conversion.

Not to sure about the spoiler either, but you can have a second hand UK300 one for about £300.00.

Either is good for 280 bhp, alough in a new shape you're better of getting an STI rather than a standard WRX.
