should I, shouldn't I??????
N5 PUG sounds a bit daft on a scooby,
Still not sold the Pug by the way (hint hint).
had a butchers hook at DVLA site. ***500*** notes for a bleeding plate with 555 on it **** that.
or should i just stick with the measly W317 ***, bit boring, tho the front one has had the chop? is that leagal ?
Numbers and letters same size and spacing the same, just hacked off the surrounding plate.!!

pug,

why not go for something like WRC or SRT (as on the rally cars), my old STI had N3 WRC which only cost me £250 from DVLA and cos it was short had shortened (but legal) plates on that looked cool, sold it on the car cos it wasnt worth much more than what I paid for it.

Moles Dad,

Explain why it's illegal. I was under the impression that only the size of letters and numbers and the spacing in between each was covered under legislation ????

Think he was referring to chopping the plate . There all have to be a standard width and length (ooer missus )

Cost to put it on retention certficate is £105 (£80 tranfer fee and £25 for first year retention) it then costs you £25 a year to renew your retention. It then costs nothing to put it on another car. If you decide you dont want it after putting it on retension you can claim your £80 tranfer fee back and the plate goes back to the DVLA.

Putting it on retension for £105 also includes a new age realeted plate for your pug.

I woudl stick it on retension and try and sell privately or keep it incase a 450bhp Pug 106 GTI twin turbo 4x4 model comes out .

cheers

As long as there is 11mm border around the plate, it's legal.

Someone at work has "4 N" on a plate about 15cm long. this is perfectly legal, as the letters are the right size, and there is an 11mm border round it.

Cool

I've just gone for a personal plate for my new sti.

Paid £250 from DVLa to have 555 and my initials.

I think I've got a bargain; the rest of the family think I'm mad
