Question

Seems a bit of confusion about BP Super, ie is it 98 or 97?

We have recently heard back from BP that all thier Super is 97 RON and has been for some time, so which sites are advertising it as 98RON?

If you could give me Town and road that would be great, just getting pi$$ed off with BP being so slack at changing pump signs, everyone else seems to have managed it.

Paul,

As per my previous info. i.e. feedback from BP Fuels / Marketing. confirm SUL is and will be 97RON; will send you the site listing.

Cheers

Thanks James, you and I both know that SUL has been 97 at BP for a looooooonnnnngggg time, but it just annoys me that many of their sites have not changed stickers.

I know of several people who have been buying BP fuel in preference to say Shell or Esso, due to the pumps saying 98 RON. Now that is blatently dishonest. Just need some ammo.

if your bp sells 97 RON and advertises 98 tell your local trading standards because that is illegal advertising!!Trades desciption act and all that.
If you want to have fun e mail chairman of BP and tell him. then sit back and watch how quick the local garage removes its 98ron advert.

Navigator,

Have asked BP Marketing to address the situation. Whilst certainly not condoning this ongoing ` error ` I must say that I find it difficult to believe that some of us consider 1 RON to make that much of a difference ! - Yes, we all want the best for our machines / money but if we applied the same ethics to all aspects of our car
ownership I would certainly agree with you but we do not do we e.g ....one careful owner, no trackdays honest; never go above the speed limit; illegal exhaust emissions;
dangerous mods etc......

Touched a nerve perhaps, but there you go.

Cheers
