please could some1 tell me the best place to get my own number plate
the dvla site doesnt seem to have 1 like my name
would be grateful for any help on this topic

A lot of plates from New Reg (and others) are available considerably cheaper from:-

Its also worth buying Exchange & Mart - they have plenty of adverts for car regs.

Write to DVLA and they will tell you if the plate you want has been issued. If it hasnt it will prob go to auction and they will keep you on a mailing list and send you lists of numbers going at auction ( i think they do 3/4 auctions a year) There is a link on their web site for this and they give details of simmilar nos and prices.
