Central locking not working - any ideas why ?
#1
My central locking stopped working yesterday for no apparent reason. Anybody know what to check ?? Is there an ECU somewhere to check connections on ?? The fuse under the bonnet is fine, and I couldn't see any mention of it in the under steering wheel fuse box..
HELP !!
Thanks

Check the wiring as it passes through the door frame into the
door via the rubber grommet. Normally the drivers door lock will
control the other door locks so if the wiring is o.k. at the
door frame the next step would be to check the drivers door lock itself. There should be a small switch on the actual lock which,
when activated, should send a signal via a wire to the other doors to open and this could be at fault. This will obviously mean
taking the door panel off so make sure you have properly checked
the aforementioned wiring as the panel can be a bit fiddly.
