Was talkin 2 Sam bout a knock prob I`ve got jnow & he said
u had a similar one a whilst back, whick turned out 2 b a
fugged knock sensor. My link has reported 1500+ knocks since
Thursday but we can`t hear any knocks What was the gen
on diagnosing the knock sensor?

Yep, I had a simlar problem, where regardless of what I did, the Link was retarding the ignition at 6000rpm, from row 2 up.

Turned out to be a knackered knock sensor.

Make sure you use a set of det' cans to confirm this though.

Two solutions:

1) new sensor.
2) turn the Knock sen's up to above where it's retarding, based on det can conformation.

After replacing the sensor, and it going again after two months, I ended up doing "2".
