Accord Type R vs PPP Wagon
#1
This is happening on a secret bit for car park tomorrow somewhere in deepest darkest essex.
Accord Type R...only just run in...boggo standard
vs
MY97 Impreza Wagon with Full PPP and quickshift and godknows what else. It also has 18" wheels....
So...who do you think will win?
Place your bets gentlemen.
(please note...monopoly money only)

private yes..but....well....there are technically speaking a small tresspassing issue. But both drivers are "doing overtime" at said location. If that gives you the picture.
I will see if they will let me come along with a camcorder (analogue only I am afraid).
It's my dad (accord) and his mate (Impreza) and I wanna take the legacy along. But they are going to drive each others cars to 'make it fair'. Also, they won't let me race on account of me being (in my dads own words) a 'psychotic b@sta@rd'.
Will let you know the result anyways. And video or pics if I can get them.

just been told an emphatic NO to the vid (Mum doesn't approve of all this, and would be her videoing)
but The Scooby owner is going to drive the Honda and the Honda owner the Scooby should make it interesting
Certainly evens the score.

Well what a non-starter THAT was.
They both got in each others cars...did a quick blast up and down and then decided not to bother. ARRGH!
rules for retirement:
1) Buy 200bhp+ car
2) Drive it like it is made of porcelain held together with Blu-Tak
3) Become old overnight.
Gargh.

IMO the Scoob would have won any day.
I have never been so underwhelmed by a car than by an Accord Type R i took for a test drive about three months ago.
If you're going to drive like a maniac all the time, then maybe, with a different suspension, but let it fall back below the Vtec range and i'd have time to read the paper waiting for it to accelerate. Maybe it was a bad one, but no contest to a Scoob the one i tried.
