Samco hoses - worth the cost?

..for a fast road car, moderately modded?
Sure Samcos look nice, but do the standard hoses do the job 100% reliably right up till you start running serious boost etc?

you've got to bear in mind that the PPP only ups the boost slightly, and yet Prodrive have taken the procaution of changing the hoses.
I've read somewhere on here recently that hoses can split with boost around 17psi.
I think if you are only changing your exhaust and filter, don't worry about it. If you change the ECU or add a boost controller, it might be a wise move.
I think the hoses are between £40 to £70 depending on the year of the car. Available in numerous colours to colour code your engine bay!!
