Someone told me that Japan has very narrow streets, hence the usefullness of folding back mirrors

I thought they would be useless in the uk until I hit car park spaces designed for Sinclair C5s and the roads of Devon & Cornwall.
The look on some peoples faces as you race up to them and then reduce your width, cracks me up every time...
Oh little things please little minds.

you'd need to modify wiring looms, both mirrors and the switches. By the time you do that, ask this one question, Is it worth it....... better using your cash on other mod's IMHO.

Nearly all jap imports come with these folding mirrors, the RA might not as this would be seen as extra weight

I have folding mirrors on my MY00 RA LTD and a mate of mine has a SWB shogun and that has them as well. On mine theres no rear wash wipe, side sills, headlamp washers and most importantly no bright switch . I do have to put up with air con, SWRT blue alcantara seats, blue dash, blue console and ally pedal extensions

OK, OK...I wont have electric folding mirrors then!
1. wouldnt use them much (in two and a half years)
2. makes it look like I want a rear wiper (I do)
3. dont know which model to get them from
4. could use funds on 'better' mods
5. they are heavy
6. would have to modify wiring loom
So thats all the negative points then
And the positive point(s)...

dont know about not using them I always fold mine when its parked also great going in and out of the garage ie dont have to get out and pull the wing mirrors out. Also on a pose value scale its much higher than tacky neons or a VTA DV

I wasnt going to mention tacky neons for fear of upsetting the neon fraternity!!
I might get them and not tell anyone...Doh! done it again
[quick typing]...the mirrors the mirrors, NOT the neons!!!

Although apparently present on most jap cars, I think the foldy mirrors are an option, like air con. Most imports have them, but some don't.
Oh, and to add to your stats, my 93 WRX doesn't have foldy mirros , but then I've never had need to use them .

Folded them in once to let a Bike squeeze between me & another rather posh car, cant remember what the car was but the bike rider thought it was great & by the look on the car drivers face his expensive motor didnt have them, he he he !
