Tom, well said, M8. You're not alone.
There is just something about a Scoob. I love the car, and the ScoobyNet community.
I don't understand all this "my BMW's better than your STi" stuff. You cannot apply logic to owning a car like this. And it's advisable never to try and add up how much you've spent on it.
Just enjoy it.
Richard.

....the Scooby is by far the best practical car out there.
After all that has been said about the Scooby (some of which I do agree with) I thought I had to say this.
I have just got back from the pub, but after setting foot on the drive, the floodlight lit up the Scoob a treat. And, I stood and walked around it for about 5 mintues, as I took in the lines, etc. I have to say that I think it looks awesome. There are not many cars where I would stop and stare at it for a while, bar any Ferrari (not even a Porsche).
Just looking at the car's lines, and reminiscing (sp) about the times when we've exploited the car's performance, brought a huge grin to my face. I know some have been quick to criticise the Scoob (sometimes quite rightly), but frankly I don't care. I love it. We've had the car for 2 1/2 years now, but if my old-man is going down the road to post a letter then I will go, just to be able to feel part of it... if you know what I mean.
There have been times when my old-man has thought about selling it, due to the burglary and other unwanted attention, and I admit that I was more than gutted. To me, losing the Scoob would be more than just losing a car, it would be more like losing a friend.
It truly is an awesome car, which still makes me smile whenever I'm in it.
Enjoy...
Cheers,
Tom
