First things first. I *know* this is the general section, but I will also post it to 'southern' section as well. It's here because some people don't actually check out the 'events' sections.
OK, just over a week to go until Bentley 2001 (as I'm calling it)
What's Bentley 2001?
take a look at these URLS for info on the meet and the convoy down to it:

Luckily, not everyone's of the same opinion eh Markus?
I presume we'll be seeing you all at the very-family-orientated Jap Auto Show at Billing on July 28/29th too?
Stef.

It is a Porsche club event, we are merely guests. Please try not to pi$$ off any Porsche with hero antics on the way there folks. If they wanna play though that's fine, but let them make the first move ok?
Cheers

Chuck has a very valid point here. We have been invited to 'gatecrash' (hopefully not in the literal sense ) The Sussex Region of the Porsche Club GB's event. Thus we should give the porker chaps a bit of respect.
Plus of course we can drool all over their cars, though the concours guys might object to this.
May I also add, that I have not actually done much organisation for this event. I have merley asked Peter Skelton (Sussex Region Porsche Club) (thanks to Andy Hamliton for the contact info) if we could come along to their meet as we did last year. Peter asked if we wanted the same arrangements , ie; reserved parking, and I said yes. That's about it for my organisation. Apart from posting on here (and anywhere else I could think of ) about getting people to come. Just want it noted so that people don't think I've worked my butt of to sort this event out. If things go really well I may consider asking Bentley about use having our own day, and not sharing it with the porsche guys, no disrespect meant to them at all.
OK, so it makes no real difference to things, I just felt a bit guilty that people may have assumed that I've put a lot of work into this when it's actually down to Peter, and also Barry and the rest of the staff at Bentley.
Hope to see you all there on sunday. Remember to bring picnic food, footballs, outdoor games (not too kinky, this is a family event so strip bondage twister is out I'm afraid )

...Ian (Sidcup)
Not sure about the convoy as the wife thinks I'm sad as it is.
