Question

currently saving like mad for ppp to my 99 scooby and saw a price quoted for the ppp for the my01 300 of £1600. does that mean that the previous ppp will also be reduced (please say yes)

Thumbs down

Matt B,
I'm not 100% but I think on the MY01 the upgrade is ECU, Intercooler piping, and back box only.
On the MY99/00 it also included a STi5 catless midsection for the exhaust.
That probably accounts for the price differential.
On the earlier cars the air filter element was changed also, but I don't know if the price was reduced for the MY99/00 which doesn't have the air filter element changed.

So as Niel says, it will probably stay the same.

Cheers MTR

Mike, Could you confirm that the MY01 PPP upgrade is a back box changeout and nothing else exhaust related as informed by a dealer recently ?. JZA could you advise your source of info ?.

The performance package for the new car will include a different rear silencer and a new centre section to remove the final catalyst.

Mike I assume this is also applicable to the UK300. My dealer has informed me that it was only a back box change, no mention of the centre cat section. Due to the delay in the PPP fittment I decided to go the route of fitting the exhaust now, to be followed up by the dealer fit ECU and intercooler pipework.
Thanks again for your input, its much appreciated.

Yeah, and we all know a centre section costs £400 ..... NOT !!

I don't even think it's an original STI part to justify any overpricing and without the cat it should be a whole lot cheaper. I mean the SS one is only £100 for god sake.

The price is for the UK300 upgrade. Does anyone know if PD are sticking to this price for all MY01's?

The MY01 PPP comes with a "free flowing exhaust and back box" - so its not just the backbox.

We have been able to bring the perfromance package to market at a lower price because we no longer have to buy a complete new ECU from Japan. It's really that simple.
