Floppy mirror
#1
Driving along minding my own business, went over a bit of bumpy road (UK standard A road mark one bumps), and 'flop' the driver's door mirror lurched over to one side and dangled like a bloodhound's ear.
I have read about this on I-Club as being a fairly common problem. Anyone here had it happen to them? Something has broken in the mirror body (can hear the rattle) now the 'pin' it hinges on and the spring are no longer connected.
Now got a UK STI with a taped up lug... sob! Dealer quickly on the case and warranty replacement being fitted Wednesday.

I had exactly the same experience. I resurected this thread in case others think that their mirror's ended up this way because of malicious damage . Mine was also fixed on warranty (but only on querying the warranty eligibility).
