Question

How much brake Dust do you brakes give off? My alloys seem to get very dusty within around 3-5 days after a good clean.....is this normal?

Sorry for such a silly post!!

if u are tyred of brake dust try EBC green or red stuff pads
these give off low dust and its not black they are possibly not as good as pagid but it depends if you like to (time travel) in your scoob or not lol.

How much are the Ferodos? I don't like the Reds either, and although I got on well with Mintex 1155s I didn't like the bits of rusty friction material welded to the sides of the car
Was thinking of either DS2500s or Pagids.

Carl - thats the bad point - not cheap

The Pagids are around 200 quid IIRC and the Ferodo DS2500 were 150 all in delivered from TSL.

Still even at double the price, they will last longer so its offset I suppose, and since the brakes are vastly better I'm a happy chap

If you think dusts bad from standards then you want to see how much comes of STi Type UK Brembo's - i'm tired of cleaning the god damn things !

Unhappy

No don't use EBC pads - they may dust less but they are crap IMHO.

Just come from reds on mine - don't work from cold, fade from hot, wore out in 3k miles - useless. Greens much better but struggle to haul the car to a stop from high speeds.

Now got Ferodo DS2500 which are FAR FAR superior in every way to the EBC. Only dust a little more, work from cold and hot very well, and don't leave metal deposits on the wheels like EBC.
