18 inch wheels - some advice please

Due to a dented rim or 2 I am now looking at a new set of wheels.I have been using 17" speedlines and Bridgestones, but are now considering 18" speedlines from Scoobysport.
The car is a UK MY99 with standard 2 pots.
Who has had experience of 18inch wheels good and bad.
Use is varied from motorway to the odd track day or seven.
