45K service - ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Around £450 including VAT is what most garages seem to charge for the 45K service. For my last two Scoobies I paid £420 and £450.

I paid £620 for my 45K service, but only because my front pads needed replacing. I have heard that this service is probably the most expensive. I look forward to cheaper ones from now on - fingers crossed!!!

It should be menu pricing Geoff...I assume they didn't try and charge extra because of the car? I paid about the same as you (less 10% discount) - but them's London prices!

I paid £400 of my 2 year service, and to be honest the only difference in my car I've noticed is they replaced an interior bulb
I'm sure the car did benefit from the service though, fr1cking expensive though

it all depends wether the cam belt needs changing or not, on cars after 2000 it doesn't. Mine was a MY00 built in 99 so needed the belt changing, hence £400ish as opposed to £100 ish

Just a note....
1) Check your pads before any major service, and get someone cheap to do it as YOU ARE GONNA GET STUNG by going to subaru.
2) I pay £45 an hour and get 10% disc through SIDC - so shop around!!
