One of my mates has just been caught speeding in his 348 Ferrari.
I don't know what the fastest recorded speed is on British roads but he is being prosecuted for 166mph.
He has been to court and has recieved 9 months ban and is currently appealing to try and reduce the £5000 fine. Apart from being totally p-ssed off with himself he was also annoyed that when he was arrested a copper jumped in his Ferrari and took off up the road grinding the gears as he went.
Does anyone know what the highest speeding offence recorded is as i suppose this would be some consulation to him if it was.

One of my brothers friends is the infamous rider of a bike (think it was a fireblade) that video'd himself doing over 170 and fell off the bike doing about 30 ! Police came to the rescue saw the video camera and promptly arrested him for the tape !

Made the Sun and several other papers !
He got a custodial sentence (month inside i think) , big ban and massive fine to ! oh and NO sympathy from any of us ! what a complete ************** insert whatever word you feel like in here !

There where some mad Japanee guys from Top Secret (Jap tuning company) that took a 1000bhp Supra on the A1/M to try and clock 200mph. They only got up to 194mph. On the next run the police turned up but only saw the car do 130mph. However on seeing the video they realised just how fast the guy had gone.
He got a £150 fine and a 25 day driving ban.

However I think your mate might have the record for actual recorded speed by the police. The last highest I heard of was 155mph by a guy in a BMW.

Was that the guy on the A41 between the M25 and the Aylsebury turn off?

I have been know to go at 71 mph along there but I have seen one of those naughty P1's that live in Aylesbury pass me at about 72mph ± 60mph or there abouts

A guy from Belfast was shown on police camera action doing a claimed 180 in a yellow 911. They claimed he was later arrested and prosecuted, banned etc. I know the owner of the very distinctive car, who has no points or convictions and never lets anyone else drive. Strange!!

What is it with chicks and traffic cops. One of the young ladies who works for me is selling her scoob. She was meeting a prospective buyer at the buyers house last weekend. She asked me to go with her for moral support etc. As she is quite a honey I readily agreed. She was showing off a bit (approx 120 on the M-Way.) Next thing you know....blue lights. The guy came down to the car. She started flirting with him. He told her she had been clocked at 115 MPH, told her to slow down then let her go.!!!!!!!!!!

Firstly, I thought the fastest recorded speed by the Police was a Fireblade doing 159mph - uphill!!!

As for women getting away with murder, an ex-girlfiend (sic) got followed by traffic cops for 1/2 a mile with blue lights flashing before she stopped at some lights. She claimed "I didn't realise you were after me" etc. Got away because she was a babe. Both her sisters (babes) got away with inumerable offences 'cos they were good looking.

Maybe there should be quotas for the amount of females that coppers have to nick...
