Question

My MY 98 Turbo is out of warranty in August. Do i go for the 1998 quid PPP, or the 900 quid alternative offered by my Subaru dealer with a greater BHP offered.
Obviously the 900 quid deal is appealing, but am i losing a 1000 quids worth of workmanship?

What ECU? I'd guess that it'll be superchips, in which case have a quick search on here.

Assuming superchips...

Some people are happy, others are not so happy. It's tricking the ECU into thinking that there's less boost provided than there actually is, and also removes overboost protection. Fueling is not changed...

If not Superchips:
what ecu is it?

If you are really considering spending £2k then give Branko or Bob Rawle at BRdevelopments a call, they'd be able to give you some pretty spectacular results for your dough I'm sure, assuming your car is in good condition, I know they don't like working on dogs LOL.
If I had 'just' £1k to blow I'd call Powerstaion and find out all I could about a Unichip solution.
PPP for MY98 seems to be hit and miss from reading past accounts, and generic 'chip' and Ramair solution sounds really scary
Loads of options, spend alot of time researching this.
Should also speak to:
Nitosport, Scoobysport, Scoobymania.
They'd all have something to suit your budget. Though (depite liking all three guys - sorry!) I think for engine management tuning BRD and PS are top choices.
Watch out for insurance! Rise in premium could double your expected costs
Regards,
Chuck
