Since I am a new joiner I am intrigued about the above.
The site is superb and am just wondering who was the brain child and whether it is their full time job??
Cheers

Scoobynet is currently owned and run by Simon de Banke, in fact this is Scoobynet2 as Scoobynet1 closed. this one is bigger longer and uncut
Simon does lots of other stuff as well as Scoobynet, including testing for various manufacturers, I could tell you who, but then I'd have to shoot you

Yep, now its run by this Simon De Banke bloke. I arrived on the scene just as it was in transition from its original form last year, I think (correct me if I am worng) that this was the original SIDC site?
Oh, and the owner can drive slightly quicker than your average driver of Miss Daisy Oh, and hes soon to be a RECORD BREAKER.
I'd like to tell you about that, but then I would have to shoot you, or you could just search for world record
Ron

Phil D was the originator of Scoobynet, started waaaaaay back in 1998 ! handed the baton over to Simon a while back for various reasons, namely the amount of time the BBS actually takes to keep running, and the financial outlays necessary to do the same !
And Ron, it was never the official SIDC site ! although Phil used to Host that to !

I love Scoobynet2! Simon has done a wonderful job on the new BBS and ive made so many new friends through SN2 even Stef LOL
Thanks to SN2, New Age Motorsport has been born through myself and good friends I have made through SN2, and it sure has changed the way we do things now.
JJK get yourself along to one of the meets near you and im sure you will meet some great people, like they say "Good food and Wine is nothing without good company".

IMHO
Be very careful what you say about Simon (The Terminator) De Banke. he is a mean, nasty, viscious piece of work who will take any critisism as a personal afront. He has a very short fuse and is likely to explode at any moment.
I have it on good authority that he also runs a car ringing operation and Scoobynet is just a cover.
If you do not believe me then take a look at:

Paul, that's only the beginning ...
I heard he beats his dog, and can't even drive a car in a straight line.
He's also the only guy I know that can significally change his Scoob's power-to-weight ratio just having lunch.
Why this man wants to manage a car enthousiast bbs is beyond my understanding.
Theo
PS: Ron, I think that SIDC and Scoobynet1 were always a separate entity.

Watchit!!! I find all that "takes offence at the slightest thing" stuff incerdibly insulting!!! I've taken SERIOUS offense to it!!
(we'll have some more cars to the docks for you by midnight Mr Habgood)
All credit should go to Phil Daws for ScoobyNet.. he supported it for years, I juts took over the reins and continued his work.
.. and it is a genuine pleasure (most of the time)
All the best
Simon
