Question

Hi all,

After reading an earlier post, I was wondering about the possibility of having a system whereby members had to type in their password before entering Scoobynet. Once in you would not have to enter it again, to enter another forum.

There would be an opportunity on the password page to join Scoobynet.

Just thought that it may help dissuade some thieves from looking at the site, if they had to register details, etc. Every little helps, and all that.

Would prefer not to have to do this, but even if it helped a bit then maybe it's worth it, and the password doesn't take long to put in?

What are your thoughts/comments??

Cheers,
Tom

An idea, but who's gonna validate their registration details. Could type in any old cobblers.

Thought this would have got a better response.

DT,

Probably no-one, but I thought that it may put some off if they had to go to the trouble of registering, etc.

Cheers,
Tom

It's a good idea, but I think that most people reading this site are honest and that any authencaition to read Scoobynet would scare off potentially valuable members. And also, existing members are fairly adept at disguising their identities.

But I wouldn't be apposed to such measures.

I think after an earlier thread a lot of people changed their details so as not to advertise their locations too much.

Also a lot of people browse here rather than posting.
