Just watched a lad drive away in my pride and joy Saxo Going to miss her lots, been a great car and I've had lots of fun in her. I just hope the scooby I get is good enough that I don't regret it or I'm going to be totall gutted cause it really was a gem of a VTS. 15.3 at crail when it should have been nearer 16 says it all!
A rather fed up Kenny.

I'll be fine for now in that regard. Will be running a 1.0 polo But it takes 18..........yes 18 seconds from rest to 60mph How can I cope with that. Mind you the switch from that to 0-60 in 5 will be nice

Being a sentimental old git I am always sad to see a car go even when its costed me a fortune . I have like every car I have had some more than others .
SB I am sure you will enjoy the scoob I liked my Uk so much I brought an import. The UK was different and was better and worse in many ways but it still both have the same bloodline and thats all that counts. The subaru salesman (great bloke) who sold me my first one in 98 told me I was buying something a bit special and different I understood what he meant after about 10 minutes of ownership .

Hoping to get an MY99, maybe MY00 rich. As a type the driveway is out the window to my left and I can't bear to look out knowing it'll just be a Polo and my brothers Clio outside!

I shouldnt worry too much about running a polo, we all have to make sacrifices to get what we want. I ran a crappy citroen xsara for 7 months while waiting for my scoob to turn up - try that.
Currently my mate has been in a 1.0 metro for 8 months while his Boxster S turns up(was in a Scoob) b4.
you'll live......

Know the feeling too SB. Just getting rid of my Nissan Primera 1.6 (at least your Saxo was fast) next Monday and then off on Tues to pick up my first scoob. MY00 DBM UK Turbo(only done 5k miles and in mint condition) totally standard apart from Subaru 17" 6 Spokes in Gold that will be swapped as soon as I find a well priced set of OZ P1's in Gold. Will book it in at Scoobysport straight away for a backbox and centre decat and also looking to get the Wax Wizard to do his magic and protect the paintwork
I feel like a little kid waiting for Xmas to come

You must have seen all the posts about Wax Wizard? He comes and waxes your car and makes it look awesome. Check in members gallery for pics from Jonfelstead getting his car done:
