Default 2003 Sti uk engine mounts

After replacing the clutch and flywheel it was clear how soft the original engine mounts are - 22 years old!!

Would I be better replacing them with standard ones or the sti hardened versions?

I drive the car in town and on backroads only a handful of days a month but don’t want to end up with lots of extra vibration if they are too hard.

Thanks for any advice

Adrian

The hardened ones might give a slight increase in NVH but really nothing crazy. I'd say go for it unless you're determined to keep it as smooth as possible.

The STI Group N ones are perfect upgrade without any major NVH for road car, smilar to the Hardrace also in fairness.

ive the grp n for engine & pitch mounts, then a hardrace gearbox mount

Solid mounts everywhere in one of mine the only one that was unbearable was the dog bone with straight cut gears in the box.
