Hi guys,

I'm currently haggling to hopefully buy my first scooby, and I'm after some advice. I'm happy to pay a fair price for it, I'm just not exactly sure what a fair price is! Prices seem to be all over the place on other ads and I don't want to get ripped off. Asking price is 13k. Can you experienced owners tell me what you think it's worth?

Car is as follows:

• 2005 blobeye STI type UK widetrack
• Black with dark grey wheels
• 87k miles
• Unmodified except the exhaust
• Part service history - Evidence of all 10k major services, but not loads else
• Fresh MOT no advisories
• Arch or sill rust seems minimal (undersealed so hard to tell though)
• Suspension components are quite rusty but look good for a few more years
• The wheels are all quite scuffed and need a refurb. Tyres need changing soon too.
• It is almost due the 90k major service, and cam belt is overdue. If I manage to land it, I will do these as soon as I can at a cost of £965 (including a full inspection) from a trusted Subaru specialist. I'm factoring this into my purchase price.

This is exactly the type of Impreza I'm after. I want a type UK for the burble and the turbo lag surge, I don't want mods due to insurance, mileage is good and rust seems okay, it's got the EJ20 but also DCCD. Basically please don't try to convince me to leave it and get a remapped JDM 😆 I just want to make sure that I settle on a price that's fair to me and the seller.
