So dropped off fmic and rcm headers to builder yesterday. And we were looking at the heads , the block was still wrapped. He said they we’re quite dipped in the middle according to machine shop. As above they had to remove 7.5 tho mainly from outside edges as they were concave. Is this normal on a car with 43,000 miles. Full service and just a normal tune. I thought it was interesting.

 

if the heads were so concave what is the top of the block like?? more than we would normally see or have to remove but not impossible........

 

The block faces were fine only needed under 2 thou. Strange why heads were like that. They didn’t seem worried. Gaskets we’re still in good shape and a little scoring on one cylinder.
