Default What's it worth.. suspension.

I don't want to give these away but I also don't want to rip people off.
looking at them I feel they are not the original ones as they look too clean. I haven't even cleaned them yet!

They passed the mot in Dec and the rears do have the common knock.

So what do you think they are worth.

And yes i have some brand new top mounts for sale also.

What model are these from?

To be honest, if they have the usual shock knock then I can't see anyone being that interested unfortunately. The do look like a newage setup to me and mine are currently knocking at the rear. Only reason to swap them out is because of the knocking so you wouldn't replace them with the same if these are knocking so it kind of makes these pretty worthless from the perspective of someone that needs a new set.

If it is a newage, what did you replace them with out of curiosity?

Yea if rears are knocking worthless. 4 new KYB shocks will cost you just over £300. As said stay on auction and let it run.

You could do it for £660 - if you don't mind the front and rear struts being different colours

£820 same colour.

The rear knock can be rectified with a spray of white lithium grease spray with shocks on car or you can take off and add grease nipple.

The bearings are worn, why fanny about re-greasing them? Even if you do, use of dissimilar lubricants can either harden, or liquefy, the base lubricant.
Or, £240 for a pair of new KYB Ultra SR inverted blob/hawk rears.

On mine it didn't seem to be the bearings but just the fact that the insert wasn't lubricated as the grease was hardened.
so the knock was just the insert binding then not binding.
A quick spray of lithium freed them up and no more knocking.
there must be to different issues with these as the knock I investigated was the grease not lubricating knock and not the bearing knock.

https://www.scoobynet.com/suspension...pe-struts.html

Pretty sure I followed this.
Mine was 2005 wrx wagon.
I bought new rear shocks but didn't bother fitting as I cured the problem.
I did remove shocks but wasn't confident drilling them to put nipple in.
So just sprayed with white lithium

The upper bearing has worn on only one side, due to the damper's arc of operation.
The knocking is the chrome damper body jamming, then releasing, in the upper bearing.
Spraying/re-greasing is merely noise reduction - the damage to the bearing has already occurred.

Better greases and increasing the upper bearing surface area helps longevity.
