Default Turning off abs light

So cars been parked up for a month now and hand brake light and ABS light are on, I've taken it for a good spin to try to get ABS light off but still on, tried using OBD2 to turn off codes but nothing. Found a YouTube video that tells you how to reset your ABS but it's a US video and can't find the wires needed.

damp has probably got into one of the sensors - so ideally you need to find out which sensor and replace it

The video says connect these 2 wires to find fault codes, but just have 2 green plugs no wires.

A run of the mill/cheapo OBD scanner is usually only programmed for engine codes. Only the more expensive units have ABS and the like as additional test units.

Which model/year/UK/JDM of impreza are we talking about? as you appear to have/had various models.........
If it's a classic, as per vid, you may find the two black earth wires taped up out of the way.
If it's a newageMY06/07 then it's all done via the OBDII port and SSM.

Yes.
I last used it on a Hawkeye, as my ABS light came on intermittently. Logged as right rear ABS sensor faulty. Investigated and the rear right driveshaft nut had loosened off, allowing the sensor to, quite literally, read out of range, by distance!

Are you supposed to connect wires into the black connector? If yes, and if it's similar to mine, then there are a couple of wires taped to the wiring harness itself behind the black plug. When removing the black electrical tape, 2x cables with pins will be revealed.

Classic/Newage Bugeye/Blob - test mode connectors, Diagnosis terminals and Diagnosis connector

Hawkeye - only test mode connectors
