JDM BUGEYE STI 2.1 STOKER FULLY FORGED VALUE?
What sort of money is my car worth roughly
20k miles on a 2.1 stroker motor built by Damico racing engines
70k miles on the car
Tien flex z coilovers
Cobra cat back exhaust with prodrive back box
Forge dumpvalve and k and n panel filter
interior is mint
I would give the body a 8 out of 10 couple of stone chips and 2 little pin dents on the boot
I see the prices are all over the place any help would be great, Stacks of history reciepts and motd to august
thanks nicky

They’re tough to put a price on. Bug STI’s don’t come up for sale often so it’s not easy to see a range of prices and conditions and go from there. They’re always going to be below the blob eye STI prices (like for like condition) but I’m seeing more and more WRX special editions (WRX 300’s, GB270’s mostly) advertised in the £10k-£12k range, which is where I’d expect a Bug STI to be and bang under the blobeye STI’s. I’ve no idea what the WRX’s are actually selling for but an STI will always be worth more.
it might be a case of going for the bottom end of the blobeye STI market where the rougher ones needing work are sitting? I’d be keen to hear other people’s thoughts. Certainly the forever advertised £16k Bug JDM STI’s are dreaming.
Edit to add: I personally don’t see how a GB270 for example can be worth £10k-£12k I.e. ‘STI money’, but owners seem to feel that’s what they’re worth. Again, no idea if these cars actually change hands for the advertised prices but even normal WRX’s seem to be going up in value.

A lot depends on the condition underneath. Get it on a ramp and get pictures of all the usual trouble spots; arches, turrets, subframes, etc. If it's generally clean and tidy then I'd expect you could list around £13-14k and see how much interest you get. If the rust is setting in then expect below 10.

On Type RA this car was advertised for £18k and sold within days it was a Prodrive edition. Yours is a 2.1 stroker and is desirable.

Thats why I said get it on a ramp. I bet this car sold on the underside pictures. No Subaru enthusiast will buy a car without checking out the underside now, that’s why I’ve posted pics of the underside on the one I’m selling. If you want top money, the car has to be mint.

yes, but this is a well known car and just look at the underside, the car is another level of clean.

My question would be why is the power so low on a 2.1? Even if the turbo/injectors are stock it should be making better numbers and the dyno graph shows it running out of steam at 6000 rpm, well below what a stock EJ207 will do.

I was told because it was dynodynmamics it would read very low and on others types of dynos it could be upto 10 to 15% higher, somebody with more knowledge can correct me if I wrong , thanks nicky
