Default Dipstick level

Hey guys. If I’m reading midway between low and full on the dipstick when checking the oil, how low am I to full? Thanks.

add 300 to 400 ml and it will be fine , slightly over is not an issue , when you are checking it is it after a run leave for 5 mins on flat ground, as it is the best way to get an accurate reading , there is a second marker above the max a little notch that is for when the engine is hot and the likely place the oil level would be if it’s full

getting the correct measurement of oil on a scooby dip stick is a mission in itself part of the dark arts 😂, thats why hot engine flat road 5 to 10 mins after driving works the best , if you do it from cold it can change each time , one side of the dipstick can be higher than the other , the angle the dip stick goes in to the sump and thickness of oil plus how cold oil is impacts this , so best when warm as above and you get a consistent reading 👍😂

After leaving it for 5 mins on flat surface, it’s bang on half so based on what I gathered I’ll fill in 400ml. At cold it’s 1/4 up from low…

Never been so paranoid in my life when checking the level

Make sure you dip fast aswell. As when ever I do slow, it seems to smear the oil all over the stick.
