Default Wiper blades

Hi all, could someone point me in the right direction regarding wiper blades for a 2005 sti? Scoobyworld want 53 quid odd for both sides but the there’s bosch ones on eBay for 17 quid odd..it’s not vital there top of the range as my car doesn’t see rain but its just something I’d like to buy new with the MOT due in December, cheers.

As long as it clears the rain thats all that matters. The expensive ones might last longer but they would need to last what twice as long. I remember on my very first classic many many years ago I needed to replace the wipers. Prices were insane so I bought a pair off ebay, something like £12. Didn't mind using them to clear ice lol at that price.

£15.89 for a twin pack of Bosch ones from EuroCarParts if you use their SALE60 code, looks like it's a 22" and 16"
https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/bosch...side-485775580

If you're really not bothered about the quality, a set of Vista Pro ones come out at £9.34 with their discount code.

Thank you mate, I’ve ordered the Bosch ones, they will do. I also have in mind the possibility of selling the car after Xmas so I’m picking my brain as to what could do with changing if you get me. Little things here and there.

The Bosch Super Plus wipers are very good and OE on a lot of cars. PIAA are top quality but a little overkill if your car doesn't see much rain.

exactly mate, It’s locked in a garage, il get it out of a weekend to clean it even though I spent 3-4 hours cleaning it the previous weekend then it will get put away again for a week, it’s must be close to a centre meter thick of R222 carnauba. I think people flash there lights at me in the day because the sun is bouncing off my car into there eyes lol

I love the car mate but it doesn’t get used, I think I’ve done 1500 odd miles in 3 years. I love cleaning it and buying bits and bobs but as soon as I take it out I’ve got to give it a full 3-4 hour clean, it’s ridiculous.

Cheap driver side : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bosch-Aer...wAAOSwTd9fcNIB

Cheap passenger side : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bosch-AR1...IAAOSwJBdeRWZy

These are what I always get, Driver 22" and Passenger 17" :
Set : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mazda-2-F...8AAOSwF5hb6YTZ

Fair play with the R222 by the way, very good stuff.
This is also amazing bang for buck :

PMSL. You're like a friend of mine - he cleans more than he drives but he's a detailer, hence super-****

p.s. hate those Aerotwin wipers above

haha cheers. It is bordering on an unhealthy obsession, if it gets driven it gets a full clean / wax afterwards. But I suppose there’s worse hobbies out there like gambling, drinking heavily, drugs etc...mine gives me great satisfaction knowing it’s mint.

as long as the wipers do a proper job and are safe I’m not too fussed mate, as stated earlier if I sell up i just want to be sure there’s nothing important I’ve not replaced.

On the PIAAs, I went throught 2 sets of the flatblades and they both left a streak, it even failed mot on it so the garage binned them and put normal ones on that worked perfectly ever since. That was worth the money.

You may want to put a different cap on the bottle....It's quite a runny wax (especially in the summer). The cap you get leaves just an open neck,

I changed mine for a flip top cap off some other wax or polish which was a perfect fit...good job too as I dropped it a few times and didn't waste any!
I use mine very sparingly, a little really goes a long way.
2-4 minute flash on it.

What’s people’s thoughts on this rear diffuser?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IM...97.m4902.l9144

going by the description it’s very flimsy and fragile...I had one on my old blobeye but I don’t remember that being fragile?.

Looks like a copy of the HKS kansai rear diffusor. In fact some of the pics look suspiciously like the actual HKS carbon item, which would be absolutely misleading.

I think the hks part looks good but really agressive and the cut bumper will be trash if you change your mind.

Drugs/drinking/gambling are addictions. Maybe your addiction is cleaning?

Have you tried FinishKare 1000P? A great wax with amazing longevity and ideal for the winter months.

my addiction is definitely Subarus, Cleaning it is just a hobby to wind down with at the weekend. I will try that collenite 845 at the weekend and post up the results if the weather stays dry

funny that, I bought a set of these that I'd had on for nearly a year, basically every set I bought before used to squeak horribly but the Piaa ones never did, but the mot man binned them and put Bosch ones on. Wasn't overly happy, probably just needed a wipe clean.

It's probably the best bang for your buck wax. Ceramic coatings don't do it for me, they take the fun out of cleaning as I enjoy waxing my cars [''wax on, wax off'' ]. Soft99 Fusso Coat is my go-to Japanese wax (recommended by my mate).

ive got the fusso at home, again another great wax but I find the r222 just as good if not better but it comes off a lot easier too
