Default garden giant!

Very nearly stood on this while working in the garden today.
Markings resembled large eyes.




Anyone identify what it will eventually turn into ?, some kind of moth i guess..........toyed with the idea of putting it in the salad bowl, but she would probably kill me.........!

How odd, we had somthing similar turn up in our garage yesterday afternoon ....





It literally came from nowhere ... scared the life out of me.

Looks like it's the same as my pet caterpillar.................. except mine is bigger.

eventually turning into an Elephant hawk moth.....
