2.0 classic non turbo to 2.0 Forrester turbo engine swap
Has anyone done the above swap and can give some pointers where they got stuck please

probably cheaper and easier to buy a turbo one rather than modify

Apart from the techy stuff wouldn't your insurers have something to say ? I would buy a turbo in the same colour as your 2.0GL / Sport.

I'll tell insurance not bothered about the cost it's sentimental, engine has blown so got a turbo one to drop in just want to speak to someone who has done it before

Lol I really don't mind mate it means so much to her it's all worth it. Get to do it all with her and my son's and teach them as I go

my friend put a lotus carlton engine into a carlton estate , it cost around 30k £ to do and was never quite right , if you are certain you want to do it buy a donor car of the right spec , the wiring will be hard work as i expect the ecu will be different along with the loom , then there will be lots of other challenges around it , it would be cheaper buying a complete car and swap your car into the turbo’d car
