Default STI compared to a WR1

Hi

Any one got any thoughts on how a WR1 compares to a Blob STI.

As I noticed the WR1 is 316bhp standard...compared to the STI 265bhp?

What can the Wr1 be taken up to power wise without breatking the bank balance...including a front mount intercooler...

I think the sti goes to near 333bhp with pop...maybe more with a FMIC

Is the WR1 worth the extra money?

Thanks

Your missing the point; limited editions will be devalued by cutting them about. You will pay over the odds for a model that isn't many folk's cuppa, then mod it so the limited market that it originally had is reduced further. It's just a mapped Sti in an odd colour.

imo nope, they are basicly a ppp'd limited colour sti with dccd and a few badges, about the only differences i believe.

So it really depends how it's percieved. I would put a type R way better than the p1 as a p1 is pretty much a reduced spec type R, but they dont get valued that way.

Anyway, you will be better off to get an 05+ widetrack car if you can.

WR1 not worth the exra money IMO. Just a slightly questionable colour and some different seats and badges. Performance wise, as someone said above, exactly the same as any other blob STI really. The engine internally is the same, it's not stronger or a special variant. Depends if you're looking to buy to collect...or buy to just have a fun car? Personally (again, as said above), you'd be better off with a widetrack blob STI. Or potentially a JDM blob STI.
