Default forester sti tyre size

hi everyone, ive researched this as much as I can and looked at silly amounts of pictures. car is a 2004/2005 pre facelift sg9 sti.
ive purchased some wheels. The size is 18x8.5 et45.
ill be looking to put tyres on them, im after the aggressive stance look, but I hate stretched looking tyres. the car is on adjustable coilovers so can raise/lower to suit for clearance.
my plan is to run either....
245/40/18
245/45/18
235/45/18
235/40/18
id like some tyre lip petruding past the face of the wheel for curb protection and I cant stand the stretched look. currently running prodrive 18x7.5 225/45/18.
what will fit and look the best?
any help is appreciated, ive researched the hell of it this but cant figure out which will look the best without trying tyres on which obviously I cant do.
if anyone is running and of these sizes please post a pic as this would help too.
thanks in advance.

i would stick the wheel on and take some measurements , yes 245 does fit in that width but you may get rubbing issues depending on the offset , you could have arches rolled ? use a 30 or 35 profile , openeo are a good source of tyres , when i change my tyres i’m probably going to a 235/35/19 rather than a 245

thanks, i already done a calculation, id ideally like to fit 245/40/18 or 235/40/18. i think the 245 would probably look better, if there is a small amount of rub surely i could just raise the suspension a few mm to compensate? the 235 says the overall diameter is quite a bit smaller in overall diameter and i dont want the wheels to look small.

not sure what to do, head says 235 would be easier as regards to any rubbing issues, but heart says 245 would look better. would 235 look at all stretched on 8.5 rim? offset is 45.
the stretched look is what im trying to avoid.

No as 225 is the minimum on a 8.5 wide which is what I'm running on my FSTI

18x8.5 et48 5x100 and tyres 225/40/18 it has a slight stretch which doesn't bother me .
