Question Lower boost with Forge recirc

Hi guys, been running a stock recirc valve on my blob STI for the last year or so via an adaptor flange and pipe as i'm running a front mount intercooler.
The pipe reduces from 32mm to 25mm and a friend had a brand new Forge recirc valve available which is 32mm in/out.
Fitted it today with new pipework, and running the blue 23-30psi spring
I used to achieve 1.7 bar which the car is mapped to, but now it wont make 1.5 bar. Also, bizarrely I can hear the turbo spool at odd occasions and it makes a dump noise occasionally even when I'm in vacuum.
The spring is the strongest in the kit as it didnt come with a red one (30 psi) but surely I shouldnt need this?
i did change the vac pipe to run from the port to the lower side of the throttle body, using 4mm hose, is it possible to have too much vacuum?

Theyre an expensive valve and look better than the adapted stock recirc but I'm finding its behaviour very odd.

I would say you have the wrong spring and its leaking slightly under full boost ,, red spring needed with possibly a shim or two from the kit
